Cold start
Your first 100 followers: a 30-day cold-start plan
A day-by-day posting plan for the hardest stretch: zero followers, zero views.
Platform rules change often. Requirements below were checked against official pages in October 2026; always confirm on the linked source before applying.
The first 100 followers are the hardest because the algorithm has no data on you. Your job is to give it consistent signals about who your content is for.
Days 1–3: set up
- Pick one niche and one sentence describing who you help.
- Create an Instagram business account (required for the Amazon Influencer Program on IG/FB, per About Amazon) and a TikTok.
- Write a clear bio and a pinned "start here" post.
Days 4–14: post daily
- One short video a day in a repeatable series format.
- Hook in the first second; show the product or result early.
- Spend 15 minutes leaving genuine comments on bigger accounts in your niche.
Days 15–30: double down
- Look at which 3 posts got the most saves and shares; make 3 variations of each.
- Reply to every comment, ideally with a video reply.
- Start a simple list of products you'd recommend, for your future storefront.
Do not buy followers or engagement. TikTok Creator Rewards requires "authentic" followers (TikTok), and YouTube can remove creators who artificially inflate engagement (YouTube).
